Entry #11 The End
I can honestly that I enjoyed blogging for ENG 102. I kind of took it serious because it was for a grade but it was very fun to do. The benefits of blogging are just expressing your feelings through your writing. The reason I say this is because a lot of English classes just give you boring topics. This always resulted in forced work that I didn't feel lived up to my creativity. This project really liberated us creatively and made us actually want to write. I didn't run into any challenges this time around. I pretty much had all my topics chosen and ready to post way before the deadlines. Which is usually the hardest part. This is hard for me to say, but looking back at my old post I think I matured a bit. My topics this time around weren't as sarcastic or silly. As a student I learned that not all assignments are meant to torture us. Blogging really made me understand how far we have come when it comes to technology and education. Maybe in the near future we will abolish paper use in schools. I think this blog project really helped open our eyes to rhetoric more than any lecture could. That to me is a very valuable lesson. Throughout my whole experience with school this is by far my favorite assignment/project. With this being the last entry; I say goodbye to you all, my fellow students from GCC and the random people that read my blog from all over the world take care and dream big.

Entry #10 Potential
We as humans have potential. Potential to be great, potential to travel space, potential to end world hunger, we have the potential to be what we want. So what is potential? By definition it's having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future. We also have the potential to save someone. Not every super hero needs a mask. We often over look the power of a touch, smile, compliment , or a listening ear. We never know the life of others like I've said in previous post before. In order to achieve true success we must help others out. Uplift the spirit of the people we encounter. The potential of a simple "Hi" can be amazing. A little something I like to call karmic synergy. The more good you put into the world the more good you'll receive. Do this and one day you might save someone granted it won't be like a Hollywood movie where you fight off a bad guy. However, it will still be worth it. Always remember the strength of your words.
Entry #9 Why I don't watch the news
As suggested by the title yes I don't watch the news. Now many people would think I am ignorant based on that statement. "Why would you like not watch the news and stuff?". Every time I turn on the news I can assure you it is something stupid. Might just be my timing or not. The news nowadays just talk about the hype. If I'm allowed to be completely honest I really don't care about the Kardashians. For the life of me I cannot figure out why the news would even mention dumb celebrities. I have no problem if you like that kind of stuff because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I notice that people rely too much on the news to present the information they need to know. That's all they watch to inform themselves. See a problem here? you only get one side of the issue because most networks are politically motivated. As I mentioned in my Reporting is dead blog previously. One thing that school has taught me is to be critical about the evidence that is presented upon me. Ask questions and don't be gullible. The trend I see with media(all types of media) is that it is there to distract us. I learned that no matter how much you try to avoid the media you can't escape it.
Entry #8 What video games have taught me
Many say that one shouldn't spend too much time playing video games. "They aren't good for you" but what if I told you they have taught me valuable life lessons?
Lesson One: When One Shoots a red barrel it will explode! "Okay what has this taught you?" First of this is a metaphor the gun your are shooting is your actions so that means the red barrel are the consequences. The color represents the state of the situation. Some situations can explode if you make the wrong choice and recklessly just shoot.
Lesson Two: Patience. Having played video games for almost two decades I have encountered missions that were very hard to complete. Not only did they test my skill but my patience. I learned to keep my cool in order to think straight. Not to mention sitting for hours upon hours also helped me develop my patience. Some say I have the patience of a saint.
Lesson Three: If you encounter enemies your are going the right way. This rule of thumb can be applied to life as well. The enemies can be challenges not people necessarily. If I can recall correctly everything worth having takes some effort. For example us, as college students have to work hard and overcome our endeavors for our degrees for a better life.
Lesson Four: This ties into the third lesson. It takes time to become great. Having been ranked an elite player on many games this is something I have learned. Every "GOAT" was once a "n00b". It takes time and effort to be the best.
Lesson Five: The last and final lesson that video games have taught me is that communication is key. Whether you are flanking B Flag or fixing a problem with "bae". This means that problems can be resolved if both parties air out whats bugging them without being a jerk.
So next time you go and say video games are useless remember these Five lessons. Video games have a deeper meaning than just pointless fun. They can make us feel good, laugh and cry but most importantly they teach us valuable lessons.

Poor little misunderstood Capitalism
As seen in the Micheal Moor movie Capitalism:A Love Story many corporations are blamed for a lot of social issues that we are plagued with today. Which in a sense is true if you ask me. But Capitalism is not the one to blame. Capitalism is just an idea just like Communism. In theory both are good but where it turns sour is when humans are introduced into the equation. I believe capitalism is not all bad its actually really impressive when you think about it. The corruption that heads these greedy corporations is the true evil. Sadly humans are greedy by nature. Just to save a couple bucks these CEO's are willing to let thousands of people go unemployed. Just how dictators are willing to starve their population to fund their military. Yes I'm talking to you Kim Jong Un. See the trend here? Its not the idealism it self that plagues us but the people who are in charge. Take it as you will...
Entry #6 The M word
I have recently had an epiphany that we are ever changing beings. I have always said I have been the same dude since 8th grade. Until recently that is. I ran into some people I haven't spoken or seen in about 5 years. Being thankful they remembered me we chopped it up. As we casually conversed one of them mentioned the M word! Dun Dun Dun....
- "You have really matured since the last time we saw you."
That is one thing I have never ever imagined someone saying to me. I'm not one to be "mature" like ever! I have always been childish since I was a child...lol This is when it hit me. We will never be the same person we once were. As we go further in this journey called life we acquire new experiences and knowledge. This molds who we are today. Every thing we are is composed of the past. Slowly but surely my inner child is being sucked out by life; no matter how much I fight it. Sure I'm still childish compared to my peers but not how I used to be. This made me wonder in what other aspects of life have I changed in. Have you ever been told something that you didn't believe you were? But turns out you were...if so comment down below. Now enjoy this
Entry #5 University to offer more short classes
ASU has recently began to add more 7 1/2 week courses, according the article. I think this is phenomenal! Let me tell you from personal experience that these type of classes are worth the hard work. Having the opportunity to finish two courses in the same amount of time it takes to finish one traditional course; yeah it pretty awesome. Now it isn't easy by any means it is very time consuming. Half the time twice the work. So if you aren't into pulling all nighters doing homework or are just bad at time management this isn't for you...so yeah. I think everyone should at least give this type of class a chance. As humans we tend to take the easy way. I think we can never achieve anything great by taking the easy way out. Yeah that's coming from the ultimate procrastinator/underachiever to ever live. Take in mind I will take twice the amount of time to find the easy way instead of just completing the work in half the time. So if I can successfully complete these courses...why can't someone who is a tad more motivated?

Entry #4 Smile More
There are points in life when
everything seems to be just pure chaos. Especially now in that we are in college we have yet to
discover who we are. We roam these halls self-conscious. This nagging
sense of un-accomplishment linger in our heads. It doesn’t help when people
around us seem to have everything figured out. The reason behind this is that
we know our flaws, and in result, we think people notice them as much as we do.
When in reality so much is going on that people rarely notice subtle things
that seem like a giant flaw to us. Only if you knew how little people remember
simple, embarrassing mistakes that can occur during an interaction. Don’t believe
me then believe science. Ok that example might of been a bit over the top but a
crooked smile is less noticeable than a gorilla trust me. People seem invulnerable from a far we wear a mask in the public sphere; but if we look closely we can see the cracks that reveal who we really are. So why stress what people think about you? When in reality they think you are kind of...awesome. Focus on what ever is important to you instead of constantly worrying about people that will forget us once we leave.
Entry #3 Reporting is dead..R.I.P
What is slanted reporting? Some of you may ask. By definition it is considered reporting bias, and selective reporting. This is the act of presenting one side of the story with a little bit more flavor(That Flavor being biased yum). One great example of this is when the great, half human half genius Nancy Grace interviewed 2Chainz. Heres a little clip...ok really here's the clip. We clearly see how biased Nancy is...more like her production team. We can see how biased Nancy Grace is and no matter how good the rebuttal is she will not acknowledge the point being made. Circular reasoning much? Never go full potato! So this arises the question of why go full potato on TV? All this is done to appeal to their audience. Rhetoric anyone? These networks do a very good job at knowing their demographics. You know considering its their job and all. This is done by mostly all networks. Whether they try and appeal to Liberal Liz or Redneck Randall they have a target market in mind. So obviously one cannot blame acts of stupidity on the marijuana, yet they still do. They know this is what the audience wants. Reporters must report the news; not the news their audience wants to hear. The commercialization of the news is to blame...

Entry #2: Everything is temporary
As
humans, we tend to think the world the world revolves around us. When quite
frankly no matter how much I sound like the prophet
of doom, our lives are meaningless when compared to the
universe and it vastness. That also means that no matter how big of a problem
is to us...its minuscule in comparison. So that really put stuff into
perspective. Therefore, this leads me to this question. Why stress the small
stuff literally? I advise people to evaluate their situation and the locus of
control. This too will pass...the good and the bad. Everything is temporary
even the most permanent structures.*Plot twist* This isn't a reason
to have a negative outlook on life but a positive one. Take time to enjoy the
times of joy. Take time to be a better person and spread joy. Our time here on
earth is limited and far too short (not the rapper). Don't be afraid to be yourself. Because at the end of the day its the only thing we have.

Entry #1 The Blogilization 2.0
Blogs can be a very good way to communicate with people. But not only that we can inform, or entertain with blogs as well. We can share our point of view with people around the world in a matter of seconds. One of my favorite personal blogs is 9GAG. I can safely say I go on 9GAG everyday. When on 9GAG the word boredom never comes to mind. These types of blogs really help kill time when waiting for class.

One of my favorite professional/casual blogs has to WeAreSocial. This type of blog is really cool(at least to me). So what are they? According to them "We’re a new kind of agency that combines an innate understanding of social media with digital, PR, and marketing skills". This is where I like to go to see stuff related to social media. This actually makes marketing kind of fun.

One blog I just don't like is rosie.com. No disrespect but that blog is sooo boring...and I hate boring. Yet I found this blog very helpful when doing homework. Whenever I don't feel like doing homework I go and read some post on rosie.com. After a couple post away from dying of boredom I take out my homework...then a seemingly tedious task becomes the most exciting thing on earth. Thanks Rosie.

And So it Begins
So yeah it seems I'm back. To save you the trouble of figuring out who I am; My name is Bryan and I'm 19 and my social security is... Truth be told I'm really awkward like really awkward that I could have my own movie awkward. Like most of my readers I go to GCC(please don't stalk me) where I plan to graduate someday. One of my best qualities is probably my sense of humor, or I have been told so. I like to express my humor through memes on instagram and very seldom stand up. I know I'm weird but aren't we all? I like to troll people; contrary to popular beliefs I have a "life". At times I can be too silly, but Don't let that fool you I do ponder life's greatest questions and through this blog you will see the world from my point of view. I encourage you guys to agree or disagree or share your opinion on this blog everyone is welcome; criticism free... a trolls promise. Now I will leave you with this...

The Fakeness Is Real!
Man oh man I have done it again...This time it was on campus. It all stared when class was cancelled...perfect right? Not to mention it was a beautiful cloudy weather(rare where I live). Nothing could possibly go wrong that day. I decided to sit under a tree near my next class. Being the way I am I chatted up a couple people that too awaited there next class. I met a few characters that were interesting...I'll probably never see them again. Once they left came the next wave of college students, then the next. This is where the story begins...dun dun dun dun! In the mist of the chaos I calmly sat in the middle like the eye of a storm. People surrounded me from all sides but something caught my eye. This girl that made her daily commute to class. She had brown straight hair. This rare occasion my brained seemed to function because I knew this girl! It was curly hair!!!Curly hair is the alias I am giving her because she has curly brown hair. I have known curly hair for around 6 years we used to be what kids nowadays call "besties". she must have not seen me in with all the chaos that surrounded us. I thought to my self. Surely she'll see me after her class is over I once again to my self. With nothing better to do I killed sometime. People finally began to pour out of her class until I finally saw her and she saw me(yay!). We made eye contact...I nodded her way(sup). Then something unexpected happened...she ignored me and turned to her friend(not so yay) A dude behind her nodded back awkwardly if it wasn't bad enough. Like no bruh that nod wasn't for you stop it now...bad, bad no nodding back. Man she must have caught amnesia or something. But this isn't the first time this has happened to me. I must be the problem then some type of mental illness that makes you think people are your friends when they don't even know you...or I have really shitty taste in friends. These days I am very hesitant to call anyone my friend. Moral of the story is things might not be what they seem to be...or nah. To be honest there is no moral. Take it as you will. Its just sad knowing someone that once was a close friend is now just another stranger. As you pass each other knowing things about one an other that most will never know a bond is broken. Yet another failed friendship thrown in the trash again. I guess it was ride or die...because your dead to me. To you who theorize that I have drastically changed and that causes people to not recognize me. I haven't changed at all sine 8th grade. People that haven't seen me since sixth grade have flagged me down. People that I really never had a connection can remember me. I hope you all enjoy my misery at least some chuckles have come out of these stories :D

No, Im not dead! yet....
I know I haven't posted in a while but I guess I'll post more often. I have some thing in the works( a part two) something you might enjoy...but then again maybe not I take it back since I am so boring.

Entry #11:Keep it classy GCC
Like anything good in life...this blog has come to an end. As a freelance blogger this has been the most fun even though no money was involved! Normally the articles are assigned by the publisher which sometimes can result to be a drag! This project was a breath of fresh air. It felt good to air out some of my opinions and hear others opinions as well. I loved this project, I loved how I choose my own content without being censored by a editor. Who would've know a school project would be so fun. It was also interesting to see how others view the world outside of school. I was amazed to see people from France,Germany,Poland and Venezuela read my content. Honestly I thought I was done with blogging but this project changed my mind it re-sparked my interest in blogging. This assignment couldn't be more perfect. It definitely beats writing a 5 paragraph essay...ewww. This was a great way to use technology to socialize since almost all of us blamed technology contributing to anti-social behavior...so ironic. And remember kids #SaveTheChickens.

Entry #10: Existentialism
Many have their own beliefs and are labeled according to their beliefs. So much so that they make congregations. But what happens when your belief isn't labeled or grouped or even defined? For the longest time I had Existentialist thoughts. I lived by this philosophy and still do to this day However, I didn't know this was a whole philosophical theory. Many have their own definition of Existentialism and often branch out. Due to the fact that I have always thought this way my definition might be different. Existentialism is a philosophical theory or approach that emphasizes the existence of the individual person as a free and responsible agent determining their own development through acts of the will. In an easier way of saying it your actions decide your future. There is no destiny no path. You make it as you progress through life. I have always understood this concept. Thus really contemplating every choice I make. Kind of like a video game where if you kill someone or don't it affects the outcome of the ending. Many find this to be weird which I do too. When I try and explain this to people they often come up with the conclusion of alternate universes. This can lead to very good conversations that are very interesting. We all have different beliefs and not all have the same definition even though they are "labeled" as the same. Don't let other people dictate what you are and box you in. We are all unique and we should embrace that. Don't let a label decide what you are.
Entry #9: Pink slime
If you haven't already heard pink slime is used in food. That's a prime example of where our future is headed if we don't do anything about it. Not even the meat is real nowadays. If natural meat can cause chronic diseases imagine what chemically altered meat can do? Ewww. All of this is the byproduct of capitalism. The corporations want to maximize profits by any means necessary. If that means using all of the animals parts so be it. It's clear they don't care about us or our health. I've said it a million times before it's all about the money. Money drives corporations to do some unethical practices. But why cant the government set standards? Corporations have a lot of influence in the political scene. Lobbying is the real problem; The government has their hands tied behind there backs. Afraid of losing the financial support they cave in into the corporations demands and veto laws that might hurt there sugar daddy's. All in all we cant depend on our own government to protect us. We must drive these corporations bankrupt to see real change. #PutYourMoneyWhereYourMouthIs...
Entry# 8: How Many Friends Do You Have?
We have all at-least in one point of our lives encountered a "Fake" Friend. They seem to be everywhere nowadays. But in reality its our fault...yes our fault. We need to learn to differentiate between associates and friends. You need to re-evaluate your relationships. Real friends are hard to come by; making them rare. Most likely out of 100 friends you probably only have four real friends you can rely on. I would like to share a little story with you if you don't mind. I once had a best friend(Or I thought so) yeah I know what a surprise! I mean she was really cool we did everything together...such a cliché. Never in a million years I would've thought we would be strangers, But look at us now... Just out of the blue we stopped speaking. With no warning no nothing communication ceased...Until one day through a mutual friend we ended up occupying the same space. I had questions that needed to be answered. Our mutual friend was unaware of our past so she introduced us.
(For the sake of privacy her name has been changed, But you'll know it's you after the first sentence)
Shocked by this I didn't know how to respond.
(For the sake of privacy her name has been changed, But you'll know it's you after the first sentence)
Mutual Friend- Bryan this is Becky, Becky this is Bryan.*Awkward Silence*
Me- Its been a while huh Becky.
Becky- Ugh Yeah sure...
Mutual Friend- Oh you guys know each-other?(We both answer at the same time)
Becky-No!
Me-Yes.
Mutual Friend- What!?!*More Awkwardness*
Shocked by this I didn't know how to respond.
Mutual Friend- So do you guys know each other or not?Still shocked I couldn't respond I was sitting there looking stupid.
Becky-I don't know, I don't remember you. Where do I know you from?
Me- We used to go to the same school. mumbles *we kind of used to be best friends*
Mutual Friend- What a Liar quit messing with us! *Giggles*To avoid some more awkwardness I tried to change the subject but my efforts were futile.
Becky- Did we really go to the same school?
Me- It doesn't really matter, you don't remember. I mean who would even remember me. We only sat together in every class... Alzheimer's much? This was one of the most confusing moments of my life. Usually when two people who are pretty close and drift apart then see each other its like they never drifted apart. Not This time... I am sure we have all that one friend we consider our best friend. Friends come and go that is part of life; Or associates shall I say. Because if you aren't important enough to be remembered I guess they weren't really your friends (Which I seriously doubt will happen). If they're childish enough to not even confront you when a problem arises they're probably not your friend. Learn a lesson from my embarrassing story not everyone is your friend and shouldn't be treated as such until they prove so. But don't get it twisted I do not condone being rude to people but be a little more cautious about choosing your friends. This situation allowed me to really reflect and it's safe to say I only have 2 real friends what about you?

Entry #7: Fresh
After seeing movies like Fresh and Food Inc. I can't help but notice a trend. What would that trend be??? Peoples reactions to how cruel the animals are treated.#SaveTheChickens mentalities emerge from the shadows. This always makes me laugh. For some odd reason people seem to forget what a slaughter house does YES they KILL animals! Whats more cruel than that? Like Bruuh seriously! I doubt the livestock enjoy this process. These twitter activist always focus on how the animals are abused. Now don't get me wrong I am against animal abuse but that's the problem I am against animal abuse. Confused much? Allow me to elaborate. This all begins with your dietary choice. Simple supply and demand. The food industry knows of the demand of meat . This includes the Big timers to the mom and pop farms. They Supply the meat that YOU demand. "But like bruh I like meat what am I like gonna eat tho". Ok twitter activist let me enlighten you. To your surprise humans are not meant to eat meat say whaaa! "But like bruh its like #BulkingSeason tho how am I gonna get protein". A plant based diet can supply all the necessary nutrients needed to sustain a healthy life style. Now if you could careless about the chickens you little selfish goon; I have to inform you that not consuming meat can also benefit you...right up your ally. Consuming meat has its downfalls such as increased cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and increased chances of a stroke. All of this is stated in The China Study by T. Colin Campbell. Now if your busy and don't have time to flip through a thousand pages he says meat is bad end of the story. Sorry Immortal Technique but your dietary choice is associated with being a revolutionary. Not in the sense of saving us from the corrupt government but #SavingTheChickens from a corrupt world. Because in the end were all in it together the balance of the ecosystem is important. With the chickens being on Mengele's list we just stand around doing nothing...actually not nothing we contribute to the problem. In the end I can't force you to anything so do what you will just think about the bigger picture and how your actions do have consequences.
